I listed another doll a moment ago and I won't repeat the story... but this is the second doll. Bride doll. I have her original clothing. Her hair is sewn on and there are no marks to identify her by. She has darling little teeth with a red felt tongue. Her eyes open and close unassisted. I think she is beautiful. Any ideas???? Thanks so much.
Is she marked? She looks like an Artisan Novelty Company Raving Beauty. Check the clothes and see if they are marked "California Originals" by Michele
If you check here on my collection I have a blonde one. (She's in curlers nekid) You can tell the raving beauty's by the spacing in the legs. Yours had great face coloring and wonderful hair.

No, she isn't marked and there are not any tags on her clothing. Would a picture of the clothing help?
No I'm pretty sure that is what you have. Look how mine is standing with the large space between her legs. It's these dolls signature. Mine's not marked either.
What you have is a 1950's/1960's Ideal Saucy Walker doll unmarked. Go to the internet and compare the Saucy Walker dolls with yours.
I hate to dispute you but it's not. saucy's legs for one face front. For two their eyes look up..now I have seen people mistake the Rita dolls by Paris doll company as Saucy's that look simular to these. Dolls on "face" value by a novice could compare many dolls faces, and think that is what they have. Now...Raving Beauty's have mohair that is not rooted. The color around the eyes, and the spacing in the legs point to a raving beauty, and if you go to my doll collection you will see except the hair this is the same doll. It's always best when trying to indentify a RB to look at them without clothes.
Here is a good site, and if you look on this page you will see your Wanda as well. Look at the coloring on the raving beauty here, also look at the saucy walker look a like and how the legs are built.

Now this is the page with the Saucy walkers. They are much larger then the RB's, and have a creepy eye thing going on.
Here is the page
sorry here it is

You are the best!!! I am loving how much attention you are giving my doll and I am learning in the process! Thank you so very much for your time and effort!
My Raving Beauty is one of my favorite dolls. I used to just collect them, then joined a few dolls boards, and over the years I have learned so much from there and my books. It's always good to know good doll so when you see it you know what to spend and what it is :) She is in really good shape except the slight crack. She has high color, and wonderful long hair making me think she used to have braids. She is a beauty!
Her hair is in long curls.. (ringlets) and thank-you!
