Hi brigitte! I was admiring your teapot and I'm having a little trouble telling what color it is. I know it can be very difficult to photograph some of the china/crystal/silver items! I was wondering if you could either take a picture in daylight or perhaps describe it a bit if that's not possible. It appears to be an orange with brown trim around the edge of the lid. Also I can't tell the color inside the bunnies' ears or their eyes. These things can help someone identify the maker of your cute bunny teapot. Some makers used certain shades and hues and can be a BIG clue. Also do you have any idea of it's age? I'm sure there will be someone here at CW that can give you some help. Thanks for sharing your teapot! :-)

Hopefully someone will be able to help ID this darling little teapot with your newest picture as a reference! What a difference that made in the colors and the detail of the bunnies and the flowers. I'll certainly let you know if I find out anything. And if you have any idea of the age or any other pertinent information, could you please let us know?:-)

A Majolica collector can probably help you more than I can with this. I just found this one that looks like yours, except for the bunny handle on the top of the lid. :

There is also a set that is rather similar to yours, made in China and called Nouveau Majolica. It has ferns and ivy rather than the daisies and cattails/grass and the sugar bowl lid handle is made like your teapot handle. You can see it here:

Personally, I like yours more than the others I've found. The colors aren't as harsh/vivid in yours which makes me (who admittedly knows less than NOTHING about Majolica ware) think yours may be an older version of the one pictured. Here's hoping someone with more knowledge can help you out. :-)

thank you so much i would of like the see the images you sent me but i cannot open it . i think its really old too i thought the 16 at the bottom meant 1916 but thats what i presumed i have it for about 2 years now i found it in a church bazaar were they receive lots of estate stuff and found lots of antiques but thats all i know. but this piece is my favorite.

You're very welcome and I'm glad they worked for you. The first picture was one by "unknown maker" with no age stated. The second, the Chinese one is mentioned as probably late 1990's. The 16 on the bottom probably refers to the mold number or design number. What we need here is someone that might recognize the maker. Maybe with some luck one of the majolica collectors will have more clues! :-)

Att: Majolica collectors! Does anyone recognize this pattern or style as belonging to a known maker? I've found about all I know to find about it and brigitte could use someone with more knowledge than I have to help answer her questions. :-)

Please Majolica fans!! Do you have any information on this teapot for brigitte?? I'm pretty useless with sort of thing, I'm sorry to say.

Sorry no one has been able to give you more information. I'd hoped it would have been familiar to someone by now, but maybe the planets aren't lined up quite right yet. Don't give up! :-)
