I believe this is a Pilgrim glass Madonna - WV origination. It is not a Blenko piece but it has the style that Joel Myers used for a period of time. Has anyone seen one of these?

      Hi WVdalgal
I have the same Madonna but for my oppinion is Murano .

      or
      http://annunci.ebay.it/annunci/per-la-casa/como-annunci-como/statuetta-madonna-vetro-murano/33662410
But yors don't have a "Aureola" the weel around the Head .

I have an opinion (authorized) that it might be Murano but mine doesn't have the halo around the head (as you noticed) or any facial features. It doesn't have a shape in that the glass doesn't curve inward. Only the blue area inside shows the shape of the drape on the Madonna.
I really think it is a PILGRIM glass piece. I have never seen one very similar to it.
      Thanks.

Hello Amber. Not trying to be cool, but why do you think it is Pilgrim?
    9. AmberRose AmberRose, 12 years ago
Hi wv, couple of reasons...Pilgrim put out a Madonna that is considered on of the best they put out, colors are similar to Pilgrim and honestly...it just has that feel.
I hate when people tell me that, sorry.
      Have a great day!
