Most likely belonged to an uncle. "Rawlings" across the front of the helmet and "DH70 Made in U.S.A. Large 71/8-71/4" across the back. Value? Exact age? Thanks for lookin!

Your pic reminds me that I have one almost identical to this one I wore when I played "Pop Warner" in the mid 60's (6th grade) It will be one of my distant future posts. Cool helmet. It brings back memories of all the reasons I quit playing. I was just too damn little catching passes and getting nailed by line backers almost twice my weight. lol I gave up everything for surfing.

lol. My uncle (who most likely wore this helmet) was very into football when he was a child, until he snapped his femur. It was the last time he stepped foot onto a football field.

I never broke anything playing football. Just got my clock rung several times enough to actually see stars. I think those defensive backs really enjoyed hitting tall lanky wide receivers. And the worst part about it was you rarely saw it coming. My bone "breakage" came from getting slammed on numerous coral reefs and pier pilings shortly after giving up football. But unlike football, and not meaning to sound ill "upstairs", I've enjoyed each and every break as in surf breaks and bone breaks.

So Stumbled Upon A Cool Old(Great History) Tavern As I Was About To Run Out Of Gas-Filling Up I See " POOL DARTS" Atop The Roof(Hmm? My Kinda Place).Perfect I Need to rest A Minute This Has Been Stressful. I stayed For 6 Hours Saw 2 Elvis Presley's A couple Renew their 25 Year Marriage Flown In Live From Italy(Language Barrier & All) under One Roof. While Sipping On My First Coke The First Old Timer I See i Start Talking Too, Talks Great Conversation. Played Football No Helmets Then Came The Helmet Then Came Aiks & Pains Then Came Using Your Head As A Battering Ram. Ha Great Stuff.
      Cheers.
