This is a steel and wood National Cash Register. The serial # is 2391367, which dates it to 1925-26. The numbers on the tag below the serial # read 922(2)5-26. I am a little confused as to what that second set of numbers means. Is 922 the model number? Is this piece collectible?

If you take out the cash drawer, there should be a label on the bottom that tells the year and who it was made for.

By the way, I think it would be a collectible, if you provided the forklift to go with it.

It is locked and I don't have the key, so I can't get in the drawer. Forklift not included.

Its worth what someone will pay for it.. but it that condition and not necessarily "working" I'd say it's worth $100 at best. That's probably to someone who has the skill to restore it themselves.

      I'd "collect" it -- I love the big double-drawer machines! :-)

The second set of numbers are the month and year. And on the bottom of the drawer there's a small hole that you can release the drawer by pushing the lever inside to the left . Not easy to reach at all.
