Hi everyone,
I was told by my grandfather that it belonged to the ming dinasty; can anyone confirm me that?
Thanks in advance for all the information given!

Hi Jim,
no, there´s no marking on the bottom - my father has been told by sothebys that there were some periods where they didn´t mark the pieces... is that right?
at the same time the same person told him that this vase is very old...
thanks again!!
Regards,
Andrew
Thanks again Jim!! Regards, A.
Sorry pal, this isn't older than 1920, the cloud-shaped cloisons are tell-tale. And its not porcelain, its cloisonne. Glass paste on brass.
Thx Stillwater. Regards, A.
Its actually a brass vase that has glass paste applied and fired. The little cloud shapes are called cloisons, and they used several shapes that can be used to date the piece. The clouds are a very recent one though. Ming Dynasty cloisonne is very different looking, you can Google that phrase to see. Sorry to burst your bubble though
Hi
I just posted a piece that, from what you´ve said and what i´ve googled is similar to a ming dynasty cloisonne...or am i wrong?
Thanks again!!
Regards, A.
this is a beautiful vase, and i agree w/ stillwater. but there are many ming pieces which aren't marked. they are usually parochial/country pieces though.
