1971 Canon F-1

Canon's answer to Nikon's F. In 1964 Nikon produced their first professional system SLR the "F" which started off slow and was a growing work in progress with system accessories which in the end became numberous in quantity for just about every application imaginable. Then in 1971 Canon answered with a huge impact. Seeing as Nikon had done a lot of the dirty work (with help from NASA's influence), Canon came in with options from almost day one creating a strong competition.
This Canon F-1 is dressed with the Motor Drive Unit and waist bound battery pack /pistol style grip(not received very well by the consumer market for awkwardness)which is one of three motor drive styles. Also the full aperture metering Servo EE View Finder powered by the battery pack as well. Other accessories on this camera include original: eyecup, remote switch, battery checker, lens hood, and 50mm FD lens all mounted on vintage tripod.
