This was found is a grandmother's possessions. Is there a name for this piece of jewelry? Looks like it might be worn on the wrist to hold a key or something to prevent accidental loss. Or maybe to hold a fan or pince-nez? But would like a definitive answer.

I could see a head housekeeper or butler keeping a liquor cabinet key on something like this and keeping it in a pocket.... but when in use, keeping on the wrist so there would be no chance of misplacing it. ??????
It is much more special and funny than a bracelet!
It was used to secure pinch nose glasses. The plain wire (here slightly out of form) was wrapped behind the ear and the clasp fastened to the loop of the pinch nose.
