This 1890s cabinet card of a girl holding a doll drew my attention due to the two subjects (Girl and doll) having the same look!

Both have wide eyes with small pupils along with slightly opened mouths. I only wish the girl had the same hair style as the doll.

Photographed by McPherson Brothers out of Rockford, IL.

Any information on the doll is appreciated.

Bisque dolls like her followed China's in production, they so to speak were prettier to girls and Came into being very late 1890' to early 1900's ending their glory days by 1920's but were made into 30's followed by cheaper novelty doll of a crude bisque and generally sold to import as doll house dolls or as I said novelty . The ones with closed mouth meaning having no teeth are more valuable on market your photo is what is called a open mouth dolly face . So she would fall into the 1890's easily . I agree someone forgot to comb girls hair though :-) She appears to be dressed early 1900 not later than 1910 .
