I picked this Chinese porcelain jar at a sale .
It has no markings it is 7 inches tall with lid.
Usually there is no lid which makes it a little more interesting.
The lid has a crack and has been repaired.
Notice that the base has base has been cut in 3 locations before firing.
This piece was probably made for the Chinese export market.
I think it's at least 100 or 150 years old or more.
There is no glazing on the base and the top where the lid goes on .
At any contact point . Quality porcelain never has glaze at the base or contact points since it will chip if applied in these positions.

    A kitchen jar.

Yeah, it's probably from the second quarter of the 19th century, comparing it to other pieces I have seen in the past.
