Not particularly old I don't believe, but I love it anyway! I got this in the mid '80's as a gift. It's my everyday kitchen butter dish that lives on the kitchen counter. Yep, I'm one of those that use real butter and leave it out because I hate dealing with hard butter. I'd have taken a picture of the bottom but it was full of butter at the time. *L*
I'm with you on the butter. This dish is a reproduction pattern by Mosser Glass called Grape and Cable. The pattern was first introduced in 1900 by Northwood and originally called Grape. Mosser is still making the pattern in various colors, including cobalt, and offering in their current catalog.
Thanks for the info, TallCakes! I know very little about glassware, though I'm in the process of learning. Any guidance is appreciated! :-)
Thanks to mustangtony and kerry10456 for the love! :-)
Northwood's famous Grape and Cable was a new pattern in January 1910. TC is right, though, CB's butter dish is a reproduction.
Thanks for the love inky, petey, Manikin, BELLIN68 and miKKoChristmas11!
Thanks for the info Paul71. :-)
