Boy, sun catchers are really hard to photograph! You need the sun behind them to see them, but then all you get is burnout! These have come from different places over the years. The middle one on the sill is a silver fairy with cobalt wings. The one on the left on the sill is an angel with a trumpet. Hanging from left to right.. a round sun, round butterfly , a humming bird. A tree of life in the center from the Inn at Washington, Va gift shop, next a fleur de lis made for me while I waited at a small shop New Orleans' French Quarter 6 weeks before Katrina hit. The multi colored one next to last on the right was made by my father about 25 years ago. Then the round cardinal. Sorry I was too lazy to take them down and do them separately. And the pictures of the kitchen are because I promised miKKo a year ago to post pictures of my cobalt and white kitchen. Sorry it took so long! :-)
very nice, my cobalt KitchenAid stand mixer, coffee maker and coffee grinder would feel very much at home in your kitchen.
Thanks for taking time to comment and for the love, mustangtony!
Thanks for the comment TallCakes. I'm sure that your coffee maker, grinder and mixer will settle in quite nicely. Let me know when you get them packed up. *L*
:-)
Beautiful kitchen, chinablue!! Thank you very much for the photos!! Our kitchens are very similar. : ) I will try to get a photo up this weekend so you can see the similarity. I find the drawer pulls very attractive.
you should see if you can find a Spode clock. You would love them. They make a blue and white Italian scene plate clock that would look great in your kitchen.
I'll have to keep my eyes out for one! My husband said he'd make me one out of a blue willow plate, but I can't bring myself to have one drilled. *L* I haven't seen one like you describe. I'll have to keep my eyes out for it. :-)
miKKo, thanks for the comment and the love. I fell in love with those white porcelain and brass handles on the drawers when I saw them and ordered the transfers to put on them and some for the porcelain knobs on the cabinets. They've held up very well for about 10 years now. I was afraid the transfers would wear off, but so far so good! As for the way the kitchen looks, you should see it right now. *EEK* Good thing I took pictures when I did. I've been making pies, cranberry sauce, deviled eggs and roll dough and it looks like a cyclone hit it. :-) Hope you and everyone else has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Sooo! cosy!...:-)
BEAUTIFUL HUMMER IN THE WINDOW. MISS THEM NOW THAT THEY HAVE GONE SOUTH...CAN'T WAIT FOR SPRING.
Best wishes for a blessed and joyous Thanksgiving to a kind and generous soul! Hope you get some time to rest today and enjoy your visitors. You will have worked diligently and long to bring joy to your family and friends. I am sure that your culinary efforts produced grand results - on the plate, and in the hearts of those blessed to share the day with you.
This weekend will post photos of my kitchen. I don't have a beautifully decorated window with suncatchers (delightful!!!), but you will understand that I do 'appreciate' your kitchen when you discover that ours are 'sisters'. Regards to all! miKKo
Thanks for the love and comment inky! Thanks for the love philligirl. :-)
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
