      Thanks for sharing, I believe , well I know, there are several others posted. We were comparing these and their dates, this one might fall in to the order of mfg. Will have to look back and see. Again neat piece, thanks for sharing.

      Love it, I bought a couple of these this summer, they were in a box with a bunch of other smalls.

      Any idea about whether or not the serial numbers indicate the date of manufacture? [Or rather if there is a source for that info.]

      The one I have has the number '63335' etched on it. It's got the same patent dates as the one in the photo.

      And I always assumed the "A. Schrader's Son" was a typo and that it was meant to be 'Schrader & Son' but I'm gathering that it really meant his son took over the company at some point.

      WOW That ones in a very nice condition...I have one and have just cleaned it up after finding it in an old rubbish dump years ago and found the inscription...
