I don't really know anything about pottery but loved the shape of this! For $2.00 I couldn't beat it! I bought a couple of other pieces for $2.00 as well and I will be posting those. One that I can identify but one that I cannot. Great shopping day to say the least!
By the way, this is roughly 9 1/4" high to the top of the handle and roughly 5" across at the widest point. There is absolutely no damage other than the bottom is slightly worn.
Cornelison Pottery - made in KY. I believe that mark dates circa 30-50s
I was just visiting with the 7th generation of Cornelisons in Middletown, KY a few days ago. Would love to speak with you about your strawberry glaze pitcher. It’s not Walter Cornelison’s. He preferred to work straight up and down. Selden worked for Walter for a few months and was known for this shape before splitting off to form his own pottery, departing Cornelison for Selden Bybee with the Kentucky mark. Thank you.
