      Hi,
      In order to find the maker of this lovely clock, could you please post a photo of the movement? Just by looking at this I can tell you that this is an Adamantine American mantle clock, probably made by Ansonia in the 1880's. Thanks!

      This is a Seth Thomas Black Mantel Adamantine Clock. It was a model offered by the Larkin Soap company as a premium. Larkin referred to it as #722 Actually, Seth Thomas had a patent on the Adamantine Finish. Other American Clock manufacturers used a variety of other different materials, such as enamel paints, to get a similar finish.
