I found this toy in the same estate sale where I found the Krom's car.
This cubes has the alphabet in Cyrillic, Greek, etc, and a kind of puzzle.
I tried to find out if this object is in sale yet, but I found nothing.
Just that there is a toy like this in the Chicago Library.
Interesting that this alphabet is a different color.
On the puzzle one comes 2 cubes with the legend: SCULPTURES-JEUX PARIS and les alphabets mediterraneens

Is is a collectible or just a toy????

Very nice and is collectible ! Nice find . I would not let kids play with it . And PS paint is most apt to be lead based . A great display piece also ! Love it

Check out Cuneiform (one of the earliest forms of written expression) for the "puzzle".
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuneiform
A time without paper meant that it was incised into clay tablets either with small rollers or a wooden tool/pen.
Then you could re-organise the blocks into their meaningful shape.
