I have had the item on the left for many years, but not sure of it. The butter dish w/cover belonged to my grandmother. I know it has to be old. I would like advise how to tell repro's from the real thing on carnival glass. I have some other gold items not pictured yet.

      Hi Debbie,

I believe it is Carnival Glass made by Indiana Glass, Co. The pattern is King's Crown. Your collection is beautiful!

If the butter dish was your grandmother's, I don't think it would be a reproduction. Beautiful pieces. I have the compote in the gold or amber carnival glass color. Would love to have the butter dish to match.

Thanks Pickergirl, I think you're right about the butter dish. Granny was 103 when she passed away in 2005.
