This little toothpick holder was made in Germany and there are other words and symbols but I cannot read them. It's 2 1/2" tall. It belonged to my grandmother and I admired it way way back when I visited her house. I know it's at least 60 years old. Small but sentimental.

Hi debbiepike54. This is a very pretty little holder! Can you post a picture of the markings? If the markings aren't actually legible, someone familiar with them may be able to them by shape/color/etc. A good clear picture, even of questionable marks can go a long way toward solving your mystery. Good luck to you! :-)

Thanks China! I'll try to get a picture of the bottom soon. I appreciate your help. I had at first thought this went with my grandmother's Virginia Rose dishes but no it's not the same.

Yes, I too would like to see a clear photo of the markings. I have a English speaking German friend in Germany who loves researching these things. Looking forward to the photo.

I will try to get another photo placed here shortly. Thanks so much for the interest, and this may have belonged to my great grandmother also. So it would be old.
