This is my pride and joy! I bought this car in July of 2011 from a guy down in Ohio. He bought it in 1957 and drove it around for a while, then stored it in the family barn for over 40 years. It was literally a barn-find! I worked on that car day and night for almost a year, and in July of 2012 I finished my project. The car is mostly original, with original motor cast on 11/22/15. The body was assembled at the Highland Park Plant on 11/30/15. I drive it as often as I can, and everywhere I go people stop and wave. It is an honor to own a piece of Detroit history, and it is very satisfying to have brought the old boy back to life. I hope you enjoy the photos!

They are both beautiful but think I deserve them more after all the yrs I've spent looking in sheds & barns for such finds.
Found a 1930 Ford in a shed once sitting on blocks & the paint was "peppered" some but still shiny. 30 actual miles on it! I begged & pleaded with the old guy, but even tears wouldn't get him to let it go. maybe if i had had some money at the time, that would have worked? Nah, no way!

Very nice car you have!! When my father passed he left me the first car he bought at the age of 13 from a man he worked for after school picking cotton. It is a 1916 Ford model T Touring car. Needs lots of work and it does not run. I was always told as a young kid one day we will fix it up. Well it never came to pass lol. Would love to see it running one day just got to figure out where to start.

Thanks for the comments, cjr1916! I am very proud to own this car and look forward to the spring time so I can fire him up again. What a great story you have, and how fortunate to own your father's first car! Believe me, it can seem VERY daunting to tackle such a restoration project, but it really isn't as bad as you think. I didn't know much about restoring cars when I bought mine - in fact, I was a relative newby in T's. But I joined a local Model T club here in Michigan and boy, was that a life-saver! If you need any tips, I would be more than happy to share my experiences with you!
