My wife purchased this in the 70's at Disneyland. I have searched eBay & Google, but I can't find one exactly like this.

There is no visible indication where it was manufactured. The band appears to be made of canvas.

Can someone who knows about these please tell me what I have? I would greatly appreciate it!

    Rick

      Hello Rick,
This is 17 Jewel Bradley Mickey, like you stated. The canvas band is probably a "Park" add-on but is period correct. The 17 Jewel Bradley's were either Swiss or German Made, with out seeing the Movement, I can't be more informative. These sold for around $20.00 back then. 1978

      Here is another like yours:

I have several like this also, here's a couple more

Thanks for showing yours, If there's something I left out just ask, I'll try to answer.

      Kerry,
Thank you for your informative reply (I just love the Internet).
All of your examples are close, but not exactly the same. Is this significant? I'm trying to determine the rarity of this piece.
Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
      All the best,
      Rick

What seems to be different on yours, from the last photo on the second link?
    4. Rabid1, 12 years ago
The numerals on your example appear to be raised, while on mine they are painted.

Kerry, also I noticed the hashes around the numbers are different. On mine, directly below each number is a O, while on yours, it's a bold hash.

Okay Rick, I'm catching on now. This should be a Swiss movement and assembled in Honk Kong, I should have noticed, but getting older and blinder, LOL.
Bradley had the "Disney" contract from Jan. 1972 through 1985, I would place yours in the Mid to late 1970's, leaning towards the "late". These are fairly common , but the 17 Jewel does bump that up. This style of Mickey was produced for approx 7 years and can be found in "Men's" and Women's sizes. In addition to being a single Jewel, 7 jewel & 17 Jewel. There are a couple dial changes also, the "hash" markings, the Numbers and color of dial plate , not to mention the size of the writing above and below the 12 & 6. They are a collector piece yes, but rare, not really. I will find one of the models like yours(somewhere in my horde) and post for your comparison.
