I purchased this at Goodwill today and thought it was so charming. It is 16" long, 4 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" deep. At first I thought it may have been made of old paneling but now I'm not so sure. The wood is 1/4" thick. The paint in the last photo looks old to me. Any ideas on the "style" of this whimsy? What thinkest thou?
    Thanks!

Cannot tell much from these shots. Can you post a close up of the bottom and any joints you can see. A close up of the wood would help too although it looks like oak to me. Maybe a homemade job.

I have posted a couple of new photos on the joints and wood.
      Thank you!

It's a phone stand someone made at home. Clearly made as a DIY project, a high school carpentry class project maybe.
