Remodified Pineapple Bed

This bed and the other items in the guest room are items found at the goodwill outlets during the past five years – all had dings and scrapes and some are antique such as the dresser but the picture frames are fairly new – they all needed to be reworked in one form or another
I am particularly fond of the bed and that is the item I will focus on for this posting – originally this bed was a foot shorter –since a small child I had always wanted a pineapple bed with a canopy – however over the years I am not so fond of cleaning and dusting so ergo -- no canopy – when we purchased the head and foot board -- for a whole sum total of $5 -- it was originally done with a white wash – shabby sheik is just not my cup of tea personally – lovely to visit in others homes but I just choose not to live with that particular style in my home – ted informed me he could add an insert and raise the bed to whatever height I wanted -- for me that was like offering a kid a piece of candy – we added a 12 inch insert and no one notices unless we point it out – I being the bling bling girl thought it needed some “jewelry” so I tore apart an old silver napkin holder and ted placed one piece on the head and the other on the foot board – it works for me and hope others will enjoy it also
