I found this at a yardsale a couple years ago. I assume it's from Mexico - probably Oaxaca or Chiapas {?}. Nice colors. I wish i knew the age of it.

i'd love to find out if anyone knows where exactly in mexico this was made. it would be worth a trip there, i think! it's probably older, since i don't see this quality of work being produced these days. but who knows?

My guess would be Izucar de Matamoros, Puebla. It's (one of) the place(s) where the more familiar Tree of Life sculptures are made.
If you do a Google image search for "Izucar de Matamoros owl" you will see similar examples.
