I am posting some Florence Ceramic figurines that I particularly enjoy collecting – Florence Ceramics was a company based in Pasadena, California. After the loss of a child – Florence decided to direct her grief in establishing a company that produced a line of figurines that became very popular during the 1950s and 60s – she was noted for her fine detail work and the use of wheel lace in the figurine’s outfits

My grandmother got me hooked – no matter how hard the economic times – she managed to squirrel a few coins away for an occasional purchase – after she passed they were handed down to the grand daughters – as my collection will also be handed down to mine

I have asked CW if perhaps a category could be established for those who collect these figurines and last report it was under advisement – I noticed that there is a category for the doulton figurines and since this is an American made product with a good size following – it makes perfect sense to me that those who collect this figurine should have a place to share our post and make contact with others that share our passion.

More of these figurines can be seen on ebay by searching “Florence ceramic figurines” -- currently it is a buyer’s market and I have found some very rare pieces to grow the collection

I hope with this posting I will find others who share my passion
