I have a soft spot for these type of beer lights. The art deco curved back, the vibrant colors, the serifed font and fox graphics....(exhales deeply) this sign is timeless in its beauty.
Its constructed of glass and metal, not cheap plastic. The backglass is free of pinholes, and has no crazing or paint loss. When the light burned out in these,a bartender would usually stick whatever bulb he had behind the bar in this and it would fry the paint from behind. This still had the original bulb in it...sigh.
This was made by the Price Brothers Co. in the mid to late 40's.There are many other brands in this style housing, and if you have one, there is a beer nut in the frozen tundra of Minnesota that will give it a "loving home"
This also has great color, it stands out with the yellow and green.
