Trying to locate parts for this rail car. Kato USA says that this is a Japanese item and to contact the Japan store. Unable to access the Japan store online. Looking for assistance in contacting Jpaan store or a service center that deals in this model for parts. Contact me direct by email at usargman51@yahoo.com. I really like this unit and would love to get it rolling again. parts I'm looking for are trucks and a new body. Body had to be repaired by glue. Trucks need new gears and axels (melted).

Kato was around for a while (in Canada). I remember seeing some of their toy trains, even "z" scale models. That was a few years ago. Now I don't see anything made by Kato. I'm wondering if the company went belly up. TYhis looks like a HO guage.

Actually this is an "N" gauge. I was able to contact the U.S.A. company and was told that it's a Japan unit. I just can't seem to find the web site for that section of the company. All I need is to figure out how to get some much needed parts. Any and all help is appreciated.

      Hello Trucker51.
Here are some links for you. They all work.
Copy and paste each one onto your search bar.
Don't thank me. Thank Mr. Wolgang Bauer of Germany. All I asked him was if Kato was still being produced and he sent me all these links. So you should be able to find what you are looking for now.
      Have a great day.

      All right, that worked.
On the "caboosehobbies link, when you're in there, click on "Links", then on "Manufacturers". Scroll down and KATO USA opens up. I tried each of them and they work for me. I hope you are able to find what you need there.
Please do not thank me, thank my friend Mr. Wolgang Bauer who sent me the links after I asked about your delimna with Kato. Have a great day.
