This photograph shows an African American Soldier of World War II. He proudly wears the Air Corps "Wing and Propeller" branch insignia as well as the shoulder patch.
I have confirmed his Air Corps service in the National Archives data base.
From what I have read all of the African Americans in the Air Corps trained at Tuskegee-- so this guy is most likely a "Tuskegee Airman"!
