I have no clue what it is... anyone know or what its value is?
Its about 8" tall looks to be bronze/silver
found it at a garage sale

The piece inside your egg should lift out. Originally there were 4 small condiment jars for oil, vinegar, salt and pepper that sat into the 4 holes. This was part of a fancy place setting during the late Victorian time period.
Your last photo is too blurry to read the marks.

I may be wrong but I think this is actually used to hard boil eggs in. It looks like a candle would sit on the bottom to generate heat. The holder would accept 4 eggs and you simply lift it out when the eggs are done.
