This is "Ruby" and she is semi retired. She worked a farm for many years and was eventually a little too tired and was replaced. The last photo is a before picture.
I picked her up and gave her the TLC she needed. I love her dearly and she does a lot of odd jobs around the house including grading, snow plowing, and brush hogging.
They just don't build anything like this anymore. Built to last a hundred years. Now that I can appreciate!! She will likely outlive me.
i could hit the "love" button on this little cutie all night long -- she brings back memories of my 1948 8N -- she never refused me even during the coldest nebraska storms when it came to getting some poor soul out of the ditch or fixing the fence they tore out after we fished them out of the ditch -- hope you new year celebration was joyous
looked at her again -- just out of curiosity -- what size battery is in her -- rewired mine for a 12 volt -- made a big improvement on cranking power
She has been converted to 12 volt before I got her, and I added all new lights... including super bright round halogens in the front. We just got a foot of snow recently and old Ruby cleared several hundred feet of driveways in the rural neighborhood. There is just no quit in this old gal. lol
New Years eve I got out my new toy for the first time and we drove around the neighborhood. A 1992 Suzuki Samurai convertible that I just put a new motor in.
I rescued "Suzi" from a local salvage yard with a blown engine. I will post a few pics soon.
hugs to ruby red!!!! will look forward to see your new toy
A nice restoration job. It is good to see the original colors, my 57 Ford 600 series was painted grey, and blue by previous owners, and I put it back to red,and grey.
