World War I photographs (and other WWI items) are gaining in desirability and value as we approach the centennial.
The most eagerly sought photographs are "patched" images-- photos that show the soldier wearing their unit patches.
This particular Real Photo PostCard (RPPC) depicts a shoulder with his 81st Division patch on his shoulder. Additionally, he has a 321st Infantry collar disc mounted to his hat.
The post card is French made, postally unused and has the soldier's identification on the back.
