I purchased two of these sand sculptures 20 years ago ,this one and another shaped like a sand dollar, both are mounted on a marble base ,signed and both have a series of numbers and marked Italy, I can't make out the signature of the artist ,I love the pieces and hope someone recognizes the signature or style of the artist's work. Sorry about the last 2 photos their located under the sculpture , not the base. Mystery solved!

Well I think I see Fantoni.
There was Marcello Fantoni, a celebrated ceramicist.
This might help you start the research.
      The photos are rather blurred.
      I'm not sure.

Thank You vetraio50! I appreciate the information ! Those pics were difficult to take because of their location under the sculpture.

You were Right vetraio50! The sculpture is a Fantoni! I've owned the two sculptures for 21 years and could never make out the signature, lucky I didn't sell them in one of my many yard sales. Thank you so much!
