Hi!
I am an amateur collector of McCoy and other early art pottery. I am stumped on this vase. Can anyone tell me who made this? It is only marked USA 500 on the bottom. It is made of white clay with a semi-matte yellow glaze. It's quite lovely.
I would guess Shawnee or Haeger
I thought Shawnee, too. But, I'm unable to find it upon searching. Ive searched all of the major/well-known potteries but could have overlooked it in Google images. Thank you for commenting!
You are welcome. Sometimes I get blind looking at too many pictures.
I believe it's Camark Pottery
I believe you are right. I have been looking at the bottoms of other Camark pieces that ususally would have had a sticker, and those feet look exactly like this one. Thank you so much!
Underscored mold number and inverted USA are both characteristic of later production Camark. I don't know of any other company that used that combination of marking quirks.
Wow, that's a great tip Art Pottery.
Thank you!
