This is an original 1938 Hagenbeck-Wallace stone lithograph from my private collection of Circus posters. It is a 1-sheet measuring approximately 25" x 41" and is one of the more scarce posters from the Hagenbeck Wallace traveling circus. It is the only 1-sheet size of this image that I know of.
This poster has been in the family for over 4 decades and was severely damaged in a flood. As you can see in The "Before" and "After" photos above, I had this poster professionally mounted and restored and it is now in "A" condition, this is now a gorgeous poster! A simple but strong design for a Circus poster of its time.
This was one of the last posters made for the Hagenbeck Wallace Circus as the circus itself was hit hard by the Great Depression in 1938 and as a result, closed its doors early that season; never to go on the road again.
Thanks bratjdd, glad you like it and much appreciate!
Professionally restored and preserved for future generations.
Thanks jbcollector, and Circusposters is correct as we are only temporary keepers of these great posters...........unfortunately.
Thanks buddy, this is one of my favorite Circus posters, glad you like it.
