I have a capped water urn with markings on the bottom epns in blocks below it a bearded man facing right followed by a crown then a fancy s 300 is stamped below it. This item was found when our historic courthouse was being restored and given to me. I believe that it was used as a water dispenser on the judges bench. Any information would be helpful.
I just fell upon your unsolved mystery. I just found one in my mother in law's attic, only it has a hammered finish with a decorative band near the top. Your posting is the only one I can find on line. Have you been able to find anything out about this item?
