The Rifle case is 42 inches long the Buffalo hide fringe hangs down 50 inches, almost immaculate condition. If you look closely you will see it was designed to encase a lever-action rifle.. My expert in Guns says most probably a Winchester 1876 .45-75 caliber.

With split tongues your mocs you posted earlier are likely SIOUX ....however the beaded design going up the back heel seam in the opposite direction and the two colors of pinked trade cloth on the cuffs is a shoshone/bannock /plateau trait perhaps they could be Northern arapaho .....hummm a mystery???if could see how they were constricted i might be able to better which tribe made them

I have a rifle case in my collection that was probably made by the same lady, it has very similar designs ,it was collected as crow

Thanks Everyone for the comments. After taking the case to a museum curator, The case was identified as Cayuse-Canadian north Bands. Still fetched a pretty penny.
The Great Grandpa spoken of here obtained it in the Powder river country in Wyoming.
