Well, this is my smallest ciccada brooch. It's about 3cm. I bought a bunch of crap jewelry to get this fellow. I love how they were popular during the twenties and I love that they are symbol for eternal life.
I don't think its very old, I think its '60-'70 and from France. It clearly hasn't been worn. I have another one, its about 8 or 9cm! It has another finish to the back, and its a bit older. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from that one. I saw the bigger ones been sold for around 100 euro but I think something is worth what the fool wants to pay for it.
I love them anyway and I hope to get a small collection starting.
Interesting brooch, but VERY noisy bugs!
They were here in 2010 and were almost deafening.
