Who can give me a clue? This is a rose gold tooth pick without any hallmark and a loop. I suppose to wear as pendant but originally to hang on a chatelaine perhaps? Could I be right? And what period?
Please advise me?
I don't know much about these but I would guess late 19th/early 20th century.
But rose gold always lands me in that timeline.
As always a very quick reaction AmberRose, thanks for loving, wishing you very happy holidays and a good en healthy new year. I wish we "met"a lot of times in 2013!
Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year Agram!
As always AR8Jason thanks for your comment. I'v looked at your tooth pick and this is very nice decorated. And no, I cannot find any identification markings. Have you any idea what could be the purpose of using tortoise shell. This material is not so strong and much softer than metal.
I use this opportunity to wish you and your wife (MrsAR8Jason) and family Merry Christmas, a happy, healthy 2013 and I hope to "met",hear and see from you both a lot of times in the new year!!
AR8Jason, yes that's a logic reason why they used tortoise shell. This was one of my first antique little jewels I bought when I was still young and perhaps therefore interesting the use of the tortoise and no metal.
