    This photograph was found in a box of photos from Europe. The only inscription on its reverse is "1934 Oma", which is German for grandma.

    I don't know if it's visible in the photo's scale, but the women are all knitting, and the table reflects some of their handiwork.

    It is a fine memento of the period, and in the character of the times, the subjects all have their "serious faces" on.

      Thanks Bazelmania, the similarities between the many Nordic-Germanic languages is very close! And this includes English, too. Being aware of the cultures and languages of the world is beneficial, and quite interesting....
