A number of years ago we bought this cloisonne beautiful colored fish pendant on our visit to China. We get the opportunity to visit a factory where cloisonne vases and jewelry were made. It was a very interesting tour and we could see step by step how the fabrication let to all particularly beautiful final products.. We have bought this fish pendant and also a beautiful green cloisonne vase. |I'hope you enjoy these beautiful bright colors as I do. Perhaps you in which contries such work could also be produced?

I have some of these that I purchased while living in Okinawa. Mine are Christmas ornaments and their tails wiggle. The process of how they are made is interesting and unique. Thanks for sharing.
Bonnie, thanks for loving and you are right I'v seen how they are made and it is indeed a very interesting process.
They also make articulated fish pendants in Mexico but the enamel looks different and sometimes there is no enamel, here's one example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VTG-TAXCO-MEXICO-STERLING-ARTICULATED-SEGMENTED-FISH-PENDANT-TURQUOISE-EYES-/221124207326?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337c07a2de
davyd286 thanks for your contribute and loving. I'look at your link and yes this Mexican fish is far identical only without the enamel but this the extra charm of the fish of my kind of jewelry, you don't think so?
kerry10456 thanks for your support and loving
On Canadian Pawnathon, one of the antique experts said that these (or something quite similar to the wiggly fishes) were once used for when someone stinky sits or stands nearby you, the fish was there with perfume in it so you could take a quick sniff to relieve yourself of the stinkiness near you!!
I hope to find one myself one day. Beautiful piece, as usual Agram.m!!
