Just a guess, but it looks like something to do with making sausage. I don't think it is the "weapon of mass destruction" that Bush kept lying about.
Okay, Love it, not sure, but resembles an apple shredder.
BTW, Happy Holidays and welcome to the CW Forum
I vote for an apple peeler! My mind is made up so don't try to confuse me with the facts!
Thank you both... note to self:
not a weapon of mass destruction.
Strong possibility that it is an apple Peeler....
don't confuse blunder with any facts. :)
And I hope your Holidays are filled with l
oved ones and memories to last a lifetime... thank you for the warm welcome.
Thank you for not confusing me further with facts.
I aim to please.. :)besides, I am lacking any facts to confuse anyone...;)
hi heidinors -- love old pieces like this -- for know i'm voting with blunderbuss -- but i noticed there is some writing on the wheel -- can you share with us what that says -- might help in the research -- thanks -- have a great evening
Here's a similar peeler:

Epson, I uploaded a closer very of the wheel..and I hope you have a great evening.
Kerry, thank you for the reference.
well i would say kerry gets the prize and you can put this bad boy to bed and write it down in your baby book as an apple peeler with missing parts -- looks like yours was manf in leominster mass rather than pa as in the ebay listing
LOL, thanks epson233, but Kerry's just an old junk collector, Stanford's and Son ain't got nothing on my horde,:-)
Thank you epson.. baby book updated. :) heading to bed myself.. will dream of gears, wheels and bullet grips tonight.. :) thank you for all the valued input tonight.
nighty night -- will look forward to tomorrows "put a name on that item" -- it's been fun -- thanks for the entertainment
LOL, my pleasure Epson.. I have a few more for tomorrow too...:)
Thank you all for your help.
Sure is an apple peeler. The next model also cored the apple after the skin was off. Should have been a cover over the top that stops your fingers from getting in the gears when you crank it.
