I found this pretty porcelain doll at a carboot sale for $4. Her owner claimed to have had her for 40 years. She has no markings on her but she is quite well made. I don't believe she holds any value, but I was just drawn to her beauty.

If the company that produced it or artist it would be signed on back of neck . Many many artists and companies sold these dolls in 80's and 90's . Many were sold on Home Shopping or QVC . Some were expensive at time but have lost their value to very low . They were sold as collectors dolls or Heirloom dolls and people though they would gain in value but that never happened . Pretty doll to enjoy . I would not be to concerned who made her since she is now just a decor piece :-) Thanks for sharing her

Thanks Manikin! Yeah, no markings on back of neck. I should have added that when I said the lady claimed it to be 40 years old, that I didn't entirely believe her because she also claimed it to be an antique, which is very, very obvious it is not haha. 80's or 90's makes much more sense. Anyway, like you said, she's not worth researching as she's just a bargain buy that I thought was pretty. :)

P.S. I ADORE your collection of dolls. <3

Your welcome and thank you kindy :-) Many people say it was my Grandma's doll leading one to believe it is old . They forget Grandma might have bought it a year earlier . There are very distinct signs of antique bisque vs newer porcelain dolls . Glad she was a bargain and you can display her :-)
