I was recently offered this large vase for a very good price. The main reason is that it has some damage. There are a couple of cracks at the bottom/side of the piece, and there is one leaf missing from the silver overlay. But it's a very nice size (9.5 inches tall) and beautiful color. Because of the size, I have it in the back row of my cabinet, so the damaged areas are not visible at all. For those purists who scoff at owning anything with damage, I was not buying it as an investment, but just because I loved it, and didn't have to break the bank to buy it. I have three vases with Titania now...a red Flamarion lamp, a red Ausführung 134, and now this dark blue with May green. I'll look for the production number when I get a chance, and add it to my post here.
Hmmm...I could display it next to the Flamarion lamp and have the Christmas colors together. But then I would have to worry about the cat knocking it over. He is not clumsy, but he does like to knock things over intentionally when he wants to be given a snack or food. He'll push something off the counter, then look over at you to be sure you saw him do it. Which is why I don't have vases within reach outside the cabinets.
BEAUTIFUL!!

fantastic! I really want a piece of Titania. One of these days! :)
Do you fill the cracks with glue or do you leave them?
Don't usually like silver overlay......but on this piece it works. I have a blue and green Titania without the overlay.
In this case they are not loose cracks, so I won't mess with them. If I can feel them on the surface, I'll sometimes put a drop of super glue on them and it will pull into the cracks, helping to hold it together. That way the crack might not continue to run. I have had a couple that I am certain would have crumbled if not for the silver overlay around them. In those cases I put some epoxy on them from the inside, where it wouldn't show.
I'm totally with you, I love this it is so very beautiful. I also have bought cracked glass just because I love it, not paid much for it, which is only fair....:-)
love the overlays on these vases -- outstanding
