Examples of interesting Mrazek Peasant art pottery. would love to see some other examples. This pottery was made beginning in late 1917 through about 1930/1. A great history can be read in Robert Mrazek's book "the Art Pottery of Joseph Mrazek".
beautiful postings -- do you think the first pic is a hatpin holder or a shaker -- love the cobalt with the gold trim on items in pic 2-- all lovely pieces
The piece in the first picture is a vase with flower frog. it is about 9 inches tall. This isn't the rarest pattern by any means, but a really pretty pattern. Not very typical of his patterns. The second picutre shows vases that look like they have a metal band, but is really part of the molded pottery, highlighted in gold. The third picture is of what is called stained glass, for obvious reasons. The last pcture is a hard to find deco pattern from probably the late 20s, toward the end, which shows the typical colors of his patterns.
