I am enchanted with this delightful vintage, Japanese porcelain footed dish! The porcelain is pure white and fine. The decorative motifs are an unusual mélange - a stylistic mix of Deco-like geometric border, traditional ‘classical-French-style' foliage, and traditional fruit and floral spray. I've tried to capture the the raised enamel 'jewels' on the floral spray, but wasn't entirely successful. I used this dish on my Christmas tea table for chocolate covered cherries.
THANK YOU AMBERROSE!!! When I opened the box, an "Ah!!" escaped, and I smiled widely. I know how crazy-busy you always are, and I deeply appreciate the careful and generous choices you made, and the time and care you invested in getting it to me safely. God bless you!
This is not an 'antique', but it is vintage, and my secondary listing is under 'Asian Antiques/nippon porcelain'.
Thank you very much for your kind appreciation, mustangtony and vetraio50!! : )
You are very welcome miKKo! I figured that since I just love little pedastled dishes, with pretty paint, you would too...great minds think alike you know ; ))
Hope you had a merry Christmas. I am in Cleveland visiting...and eating too much...January will be full of celery and lettuce I'm afraid.
Thank you very much, AmberRose, eye4beauty, and Bellin for your kind appreciation!! : )
Yes, thank you, AmberRose, I had a very fine Christmas. Hope your holidays were splendid, joyous, and restful!!! Hope and trust that they'll have pampered you in Cleveland. Celery and greens will always be good choices post-holidays. ; ))
Hi, jwendell222! Nice to meet you, sir, and thanks very much for the great information!!! : ) I am wondering if my mark is brown instead of red. It looks brownish red or reddish brown. I used the following two links to verify my stylistic hunches.

Thank you very much for your kind appreciation, inky!! Happy New Year's!!! : )
Hi, Jim. Oh, yes, I see now. I haven't ever seen a piece of Japanese porcelain like yours. I wish you luck in tracking it down, sir. I'm sorry, but I don't have any suggestions. : (
By the way, the waipo.com link worked when I posted it. It doesn't work now. That page is currently under construction, but if you click on the link below, you will at least arrive at waipo.com. The page is also under construction.

Thank you very much for your kind appreciation, Petey!!! : )
Hi MiKKo, did you get anything from me in the mail?? : ))
Hi, Rascal Elf AmberRose!!! Oh, yes, indeed I did! And I'm enchanted with it!!! Both deeply gracious note and gorgeous EPGA glass!!! You are too good!!! Verily! I immediately placed it in the window, next to the nativity, so that I could observe the light passing through it, and ah, it is so beautiful. The only carnival glass I have is the cobalt dog head candy container. I love this golden color of carnival glass, and especially the faceted panels with raised patterns! A delicate pattern, and very American. Sorry about all the exclamation points and superlatives, but I can't help it here. This is a stunning glass, and one for which I shall one day find sisters. I am enchanted by it!!! Oh, no. Here come the exclams, but, sorry, it's inevitable with this piece. I can't tell you how much I enjoy old EAPG, but don't buy. When the CW weekly watch list emails arrive, there are two I always read: Scandinavian Art Glass - which I never buy, and EAPG - which I never buy. I love, love EAPG. This is the sort of piece I would pine for, though not buy for myself. I love, love the color and pattern. Glass not too big, not too small. Adaptable for many table settings. Sublime. Need more exclams. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have something I've been longing to give you, but until my brother visits and unsticks the cabinet, I cannot give it to you. They are vintage aluminum icicles for the Christmas tree. You'd love them. One day.....
You have not yet heard these things because I wanted to get a good photo and post it first, and send a proper handwritten thank you first!!! I am so sorry that I am a bit delayed. I think pkg arrived Tuesday afternoon. Medical appointment, and then two friends are having surgery - both serious. Been busy working on that. God bless you and your family, kind lady!!! Is everyone OK? No flu or Norovirus? Take care!!! : D
We are all good. Thank you for asking. I was just worried it didn't get there!
Spring theme will continue. Already staged, just need the right boxes.
You are welcome darling MiKKo. I am having the best time with this. Am curious as to the name of the pattern. That butterfly called to me!
Thou art an incorrigible Christmas Elf, AmberRose!!! Thank you!!!!! Brother of mine, please appear and unstick the cabinet!!! I look forward to thanking you properly, though I know I shall never be able to thank you adequately for this river of generosity! Continuing the anti-flu/bug prayers!!! : )
Thank you for your kind appreciation, petey, Sean, and bratjdd!!! : )
