What a find...this necklace set was purchased in Vietnam by my father and found in a box in the attic with a note stating this was hand carved ivory. Beautiful detailing.

It is beautiful. I think I have a piece similar that my Dad purchased for my Mom overseas in the 1940's. I look for it and post it tomorrow...

I have one on too, from about 1915, Elephant ivory, graduated beads--Has the patina now very dark, like toast! I have never cleaned it and not sure if I am supposed to. My great-uncle got it in China when he was a diamond driller, all over the world. Sure looks prettier CLEAN-I may try to clean mine.
