My grandmother gave my 2 year old this doll for Christmas. The only information she had was a long 'grandma speech' about so and so's great grandma's best friends cousin's nephews parents died and they had a few of these and somehow she ended up with them! ;) I have Googled and can't find a single piece of information about this toy! I felt funny opening it and letting her play with it, but my grandmother insisted. I would just like to know more information before I make the decision to tear open this 31 year old toy that is still in the package! If anyone knows anything about this toy, all I need to know is 'what would you do?'! Open or Save? Thanks!

I will also clarify that if I did decide to open it and let her play with it, it would not be while she is 2! Grandma's don't care about age suggestions or choking hazards apparently!

Hi, missprissm...! Welcome to Collectors Weekly! I expect that our resident doll expert, Manikin, could solve this for you. It might take her a few more days to spot it. In the meantime, please don't open this package - Mustang is correct. : )

Arco was owned by Mattel, and was their company that produced many inexpensive accessories and playsets for Barbie, and other Mattel toys. Arco Toys were the kind of toys often found at grocery stores and other deep discount stores. I wouldn't say Arco toys are particularly collectible, but that one is cute and VERY 70s-80s looking. I'd hang on to it!
