Singer have advised that it was manufactured on September 5, 1951 in Clydebank, Scotland. To make this even more interesting I found an old Moscow Newspaper hidden in it. Interesting.

:) Nice to have one with the Centennial badge. The date that Singer gives you is the factory date when the batch was commissioned, not the actual date the machine was made, yours is from a batch of 60,000 from that date. I have one of these EG405069 from the batch commissioned Feb 22 1951. This machine wouldn't be anything to do with Russia. Highly likely it was purchased in Australia. Did you need to know anything about it?
