Does anyone know what these are? I assume they were some type of brass stamp or mold for something? They are quite heavy. I found a box of them today. Not sure what they are. THanks!

Does anyone have a idea what these are used for? It look like the back is threaded for something to screw into it???? Could they be some kind of stamp?

Hi...these brass initials were used in the corner of large ash trays. My mother had one that was teal in color and had an H for her last name. I will try and find a photo of it and add it to another post.

I found the source for your initials.....
They were used by Roseville Pottery and they made ashtrays by the name of
      HydePark from 1935 into the 50's / 60's
you put in ....Roseville Pottery Hyde Park Ashtrays ....and you will see all of them. They also used other brass discs with other company names and even the U.S> Marines on the discs....hope this has helped you....
