Pair of possible Steiff animals from the 1940's

Not sure if these are Steiff or not as they are not tagged or buttoned. The monkey is totally pose-able with wire in his limbs and tail. He is also jointed at the shoulders and hips. The pup is covered in rabbit fur. His head can turn, and when you squeeze his tummy, his mouth opens and closes and he barks!
