ANTIQUE 8 carat gold MICRO MOSAIC DOVE EARRINGS and brooch/PENDANT SET of 1860/1870
Antique Dove Micro Mosaic 8 kt gold Earrings, (which can be taken apart) and brooch/pendant in original box probably made for a bride as wedding gift because of the doves (symbols of peace and luck) and flowers.
Earrings which can be taken apart are approx. in total 3/4 by 1 3/4 cm. long.
The upper parts one are little flowers, the other a little bird on a branch. The lowest parts are birds on a branch. Only two missing tiles, on in the flowers and one in a dove’s wing. The brooch/pendant is 4.7 cm by 3 cm .
Black onyx background with the tiniest of tesserae depicting flying doves of peace.
Earrings on black onyx background with small doves with hooks. They earrings can be taken apart in an upper part and a lower one. So, you can wear only the upper parts of earrings and use the lower parts as a pendant.
There are only three small cracks to the onyx of the brooch/pendant.
The demi parure in original box.
As you can understand I’m very lucky with this wonderful Micro Mosaic jewels.
You agree my idea this could be a wedding gift because of the combination of the doves with flowers?

AR8Jason. Hello Kevin,
What a pity that you leave CW. You're one of those with a lot of knowledge of antique and vintage jewelry and assisted your knowledge with a lot of us, collectors. Moreover, it was for you never too much trouble everything as good as possible to describe or explain. In short, you leaving on CW is a loss for many collectors.
Obviously I will be happy to ask your counsel and advise to use through your private mail data to your counsel and advice as possible. You'll hear from me!!
